The existence of both versions is significant. It's the first evidence in the archive of the DJ treating mixing as a craft that requires multiple passes rather than a spontaneous expression captured once. The selections and the emotional arc are the same. What differs is invisible to the tracklist and audible only in the mix itself: the precise moment where one track bleeds into another, the way a vocal sits against an incoming bass line, the fraction of a second that separates a good transition from a great one.
